Wie alle Kopff\u00fc\u00dfer sind sie bilateral symmetrisch: sie haben zwei Augen, einen Schnabel, und ihr Mund liegt in der Mitte ihrer acht Arme.<\/p>\n<p>Sie besitzen einen Trichter (Funnel) zum Atmen und zur Fortbewegung; sie bewegen sich, indem sie Wasser durch den Trichter aussto\u00dfen, w\u00e4hrend ihre acht Gliedma\u00dfen hinterherziehen.<\/p>\n<p>Bevorzugt verwenden sie die hinteren beiden Arme zum \u201eGehen\u201c auf Riff oder Meeresboden.<\/p>\n<h3>Mehr als 300 Octopus Arten<\/h3>\n<p>Reihen von Saugn\u00e4pfen an der Unterseite der Arme erm\u00f6glichen dem Oktopus das Vorw\u00e4rtsbewegung am Meeresboden; die \u00fcbrigen sechs Arme nutzt er zur Nahrungssuche.<\/p>\n<p>Der gro\u00dfe, hohle Mantel ist an den Hinterkopf angeschlossen und ein stark muskul\u00f6ser Bereich, der alle lebenswichtigen Organe enth\u00e4lt.<\/p>\n<p>Der weiche K\u00f6rper erlaubt es dem Oktopus, schnell die Form zu ver\u00e4ndern und sich durch enge \u00d6ffnungen oder Ritzen zu zw\u00e4ngen.<\/p>\n<h3>Wie ein Oktopus frisst<\/h3>\n<p>Der Mund unter den Armen besitzt einen harten, scharfen Schnabel, mit dem der Oktopus die Schalen von Krebstieren und Weichtieren aufbricht.<\/p>\n<p>Neben dem Schnabel sitzt die <em><span style=\"color: #28d4ff;\">Radula<\/span>,<\/em> eine mit Widerhaken besetzte Zunge, mit der der Oktopus das aufgebrochene Tier aus der Schale herauskratzt.<\/p>\n<p>Gelingt das nicht, verwendet er die Speicheldr\u00fcse (salivary papilla), ein zahn \u00e4hnliches Organ, mit dem er in Schalen bohrt; die Absonderungen der Papille l\u00f6sen die Schale auf, sodass der Oktopus an das Innere gelangt.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3407\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3407\" style=\"width: 1100px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3407\" src=\"https:\/\/www.blackturtledive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/blackturtledive.com-cepholopods-blue-ringed-octopus-koh-tao-thailand.jpg\" alt=\"Blaugeringelter Oktopus Koh Tao\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.blackturtledive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/blackturtledive.com-cepholopods-blue-ringed-octopus-koh-tao-thailand.jpg 1100w, https:\/\/www.blackturtledive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/blackturtledive.com-cepholopods-blue-ringed-octopus-koh-tao-thailand-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.blackturtledive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/blackturtledive.com-cepholopods-blue-ringed-octopus-koh-tao-thailand-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.blackturtledive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/blackturtledive.com-cepholopods-blue-ringed-octopus-koh-tao-thailand-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.blackturtledive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/blackturtledive.com-cepholopods-blue-ringed-octopus-koh-tao-thailand-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1100px) 100vw, 1100px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3407\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Blaugeringelter Oktopus Koh Tao<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #28d4ff;\">Merkmal &amp; Verhalten des Oktopus<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Der Oktopus ist ein Einzelg\u00e4nger und verbringt den Gro\u00dfteil seines Lebens in einer H\u00f6hle; nachts verl\u00e4sst er sie zum Jagen.<\/li>\n<li>Oktopusse verteidigen sich auf verschiedene Weise gegen Fressfeinde: sie spritzen Tinte, nutzen Tarnung und Drohgeb\u00e4rden und k\u00f6nnen sich bei Flucht schnell durchs Wasser bewegen.<\/li>\n<li>Ein <span style=\"color: #28d4ff;\">Oktopus kann seine Farbe \u00e4ndern<\/span> in weniger als einer Sekunde.<\/li>\n<li>Beim Mimic-Oktopus wurde dynamische Mimikry beobachtet; er imitiert u. a. Heteropoda), Quallen und kleinen Fischen.<\/p>\n<p>Argonauten fressen \u00fcberwiegend tags\u00fcber und greifen Beute mit ihren Armen; ein Biss injiziert Gift aus der Speicheldr\u00fcse.<\/p>\n<p>Nat\u00fcrliche Feinde sind Thunfisch, Haie, Kalmare, Meeress\u00e4uger, Pinguine und Seev\u00f6gel.<\/p>\n<h3>Interessante Fakten \u00fcber Argonauten<\/h3>\n<p>Argonauten zeigen extreme sexuelle Dimorphie: M\u00e4nnchen sind deutlich kleiner als Weibchen.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e4nnchen erreichen etwa 1 cm und selten mehr als 2 cm L\u00e4nge und bilden keine Schale.
